Our newest publication is William Downing Evans: Poetry and Poverty in Nineteenth Century Newport, edited by Ian and Wendy Dear, launched on 5 November 2011.

This fascinating book unlocks many of the doors to our understanding of why Swansea became an unrivalled centre for copper smelting. The story is told by Robert Morris junior, son of the founder of the Morris industrial empire.
