South Wales Record Society
We were established as a charitable organisation in 1982, and our purpose is to publish a regular series of books on the history of South Wales in general and the historic counties of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire in particular.
From medieval church records to industrial letter-books and from manorial court books to the two World Wars, these publications give access to a variety of original sources that might otherwise be hidden away in archives and libraries. Each one comes with a scholarly introduction, notes, bibliography and appendices which help the reader to interpret it and understand it in its historical context.
The annual subscription is £20 and is open to individuals and institutions. Members receive a copy of the current year's publication, and a chance to buy many of the previous years' titles at a reduced rate.
